Matt Blose

Matt is from Punxsutawney, PA and recently moved to Cleveland in the fall of 2023. He was a state qualifier his sophomore, junior, and senior year of high school. During his senior season, Matt had broken several school records, one of which was finishing fifth in the state. Matt had a late start to tennis, and because of that, he went Division III his freshman and sophomore season, at Mount Aloysius College in Cresson, PA. During the onset of COVID, Matt decided he wanted to take his talent to a more serious tennis program and needed to be pushed more academically.

In the fall of 2021, Matt transferred to Saint Francis University, a Division I program in Loretto, PA. Matt went on to play five and six singles for the University and graduated at the top of his class with a double major in Finance and Management.

Matt is also a personal trainer in the Broadview Heights area, which he accredits his personal trainer and tennis professional from back home for pushing him and getting him in shape to compete at the Division I level. He knew it was going to be a challenge but was ready for whatever was to come his way. During the early months of his training, Matt lost 40lbs and completely transformed his physique and mindset. Matt loved what his personal trainer and tennis professional were able to do for him, so much that Matt wanted to become a personal trainer and tennis professional himself.

Matt is determined to help you achieve your goals on the court, and to keep loving the game of tennis.
